If you have a website running version 3 of Silverstripe, you're probably aware it's time for an upgrade.
This software is now an 'end of life' version, which means Silverstripe will no longer support or update anything for this version of their software.
You can continue to run a SilverStripe 3 site, but your website will be exposed to vulnerabilities that won't be patched. With each new release of the software, upgrading becomes more and more difficult, so an upgrade sooner rather than later is recommended while the transition is fairly straightforward.
If it's been a while since the site was designed, or you are considering a redesign anytime soon (updating the look and feel of the website) it would be a great time to do so. Your site can be upgraded or redeveloped into Silverstripe 4 as part of that process.
We've completed a number of these upgrades now, and have the process down to a tee - so it may not be as expensive as you think.
